Pumpkin Spice Content
Leaves are falling, and everything is coming up pumpkin spicy. I don’t have a lot of patience for it.
I like pumpkin pie just fine. It’s not my favorite, but I’ll eat a slice now and then to be polite. The spices can get aggressive, though. Cinnamon is lovely, but a little nutmeg goes a long way.
I can deal with the scented candles and all those fancy coffee drinks. But I draw the line at popcorn. And beer. Seriously, people. Nutmeg and cinnamon in beer smells like desperation.
Trends Can Get Tiresome
Content development can follow seasonal trends, but let’s not be tiresome. At this time of year, for example, there are lots of themes to exploit. Choose Halloween, back to school, or falling leaves. Repetition is unnecessary and boring.
The last thing this world needs is a pumpkin spice blog post.
Puns Are Fun
On the other hand, I must confess to a great weakness for puns. It may be a genetically linked trait.
So you may find seasonal puns in the headline or the overall theme of one of my blog posts or articles. Consider yourself forewarned. I do try to keep ‘em fresh, though. I find it so gratifying when I can make people laugh, even if it’s against their will. In the case of puns, I’m looking for a chuckle followed by the inevitable groan.
I’ve tried to turn over a new leaf, but my attempts just fall flat.
Thanks a latte for your patience.
